Semi-Finals Season 3! *Update
Fri Jan 01 2010, 17:18 by EPGL|CoB-Lussac
*Update* pCp won over AESR by an ALLKIILL! Nice work by Poland Undead Zapek

So here we are:

Poland GFO needs to show another very good performance like they did vs Germany whine the Clanwar before. They will play vs the american team of USA InfC. They showed once again that their player Human HolyHuman is unstoppable. So this will be very interesting. Let us see if Undead Tenpointfive or Human Leader will win vs Human HolyHuman and his followers.

Semifinal 1: Poland GFO [4:1] USA InfC

The other semifinal will be played by Korea SNoW for sure. Their opponent will be Poland pCp. Korea SNoW showed that they are one of the favourites for this season. You can see them just winning in any other league like WGS or IGL(CCL). With their players like Night Elf kimkhyun and Undead Destroyu they might be unbeatable. But who knows. If we face Poland pCp then we can see 3 very nice players with Night Elf MeS, Undead Zapek and Undead Almost. Who of those three guys can beat this strong korean team. We will see.

Semifal 2: Korea SNoW vs Poland pCp

Also, there is wild discussion if there will be another season of EPGL. As you all know. We had a big lack of admins so far. So if you want to help us, then don't be shy and apply as admin. Smile

And of course: Happy new year.

Playoffs Season Threeeeeeeeee !
Mon Dec 14 2009, 18:23 by EPGL|CoB-Lussac
Hey guys, another news in this week. This is how the Playoffs will work.

#1: A1 - B4

#2: A3 - B2

#3: B1 - A4

#4: B3 - A2

And then, follow the normal bracket. Winner #1 vs Winner #2 and Winner #3 vs Winner #4. There will be no Loserbracket --> Single elimination.

So here are the matches for the playoffs:

Poland GFO [4:0] Germany whine
Germany CoB [2:4] USA InfC
Korea SNoW [4:0] Korea eQ - congratz SNoW for advancing to next round!
Poland AESR vs Poland pCp

The last day to get your games done is next Tuesday the 22 December. After the first round of the Playoffs there is going to be a break till 2010. After this, we will be back again with the rest of the Playoffs and finally the final match for season three.

I won't give any announcement for season 4 because we need to discuss about that due to the fact that we had a lack of admins this season which was very sad for some of you. I hope you don't blame us for that and we hope that the season was interesting for you anyway !

So guys, prepare your team for the Playoffs and might the best team win the first place.!!!

Normal season over.. almost
Sun Dec 13 2009, 19:19 by EPGL|CAKES
Ok so its pretty fair to say this week admins were non existent.
In true now classic EPGL form we have made it to the end of the season with a lack of admins attending wars updating breports and just general all-round activeness hopefully next season we can fix this but for now i wanna say thanks to all the managers making the season run as smooth as possible Smile

Sadly this season we had a number of teams drop / removed USA sWc will be barred from competing next season, Thanks to the teams that stepped in and got their games played !

Now to the standings as you can see alot changed in the standings since last week first off France aAa decided to replay the week 1 game vs Spain eTv ( they had won 4-0 vs Finland FinH before ) which saw them lose and drop important points unluckily for them they also lost vs Poland GFO meaning they won't be in the playoffs.
Germany eW have disapointed this week pretty much giving Korea eQ a freewin in week 6 and probely a defwin for Poland pCp in week 7 once PPs are added they will most likely be banned from next season cy@@
Korea eQ and Spain eTv both finish on 17 points with eQ just going through after winning 4:3 vs eTv during the season.

Group 2 has had alot less happen this week as the playoff teams were already decided all thats left is to find out whethever Poland AESR or Germany whine take the 3rd place playoff spot.

Group 1

Poland GFO - 24
Poland pCp - 21
Germany CoB - 19
Korea eQ - 17
{ eQ [4:3] eTv }
Spain eTv - 17
France aAa - 16
Germany eW - 4

Group 2

Korea SNoW - 23
USA InfC - 22
Poland AESR - 19
Germany whine - 18

Sweden GE - 14
World LaG - 13
USA sWc - disqualified

Once the remaining two games have been sorted out we will release the schedule for the playoffs.

Final week before the playoffs.
Mon Dec 07 2009, 21:39 by EPGL|CoB-Lussac
Hey there. Welcome to the 7 week of this third season. Once again: 4 teams of each division will be qualified for the playoffs!

Just taking a look back at week 6. We had a bad moment when sWc left the league due to no shows at 2 clanwars. Well that is no good self-advertising. Anyway, gl in your other leagues and clanwars.
Group A: GFO is qualified for sure. CoB and aAa needs only 3 points to be sure in the playoffs, meanwhile pCp and rG are going to fight a close one.
Group B: SNoW, InfC and whine can chill out and take a rest, because they are also welcomed to the playoffs.
Nice done by everyone Smile

This is the system for the Playoffs: A1 - B4, A2 - B3, A3 - B2, A4 - B1

S3W5 - Simplified...okay, maybe I lied =\
Mon Nov 23 2009, 16:25 by EPGL|Rift
That's right; none of you get a bye. In fact, 4 of you have to play/complete 2 matches. This is what happens when I'm too nice =\

Looking back, Week 4 was pretty eventful, even though only 4 of the 6 matches got completed.

This week we kicked things off with the Week 3 Makeup Match, and man it was great!!! Undead Zapek took 2 points off the WC3L team and Poland pCp looked to be in control. Enter Sweden Undead Skutt; with aAa in a 0-2 hole, they needed a saviour or else they risk losing a match in which they are heavily favoured. Undead Skutt showed excellent UD mirror by eliminating Undead players Zapek and Almost, as well as pCp's powerhouse Night Elf MeS. Orc Raider abused the blademaster to hell and back to eliminate Skutt, but Undead Syde proved that the odds can be beaten, by defeating Raider at a matchup where the Undead is at a 3-to-7 disadvantage. Altough this match was worth the wait, I'd rather teams didn't do this too often. =)

Next up, Korea SNoW squaring off vs Germany whine; I don't think Night Elf coolemuke was too happy with Korea SNoW bringing 2 Undead players. He only was able to succeed in taking down one player. Germany whine's other point came from the imbalanced Orc vs Undead matchup on SV - joy. To compund matters, whine is down to one joker card...

Now, Korea eQ and Europe rG took on quite a similar form to that of the make-up match; this one was amazing. Most of us thought the Koreans would run through rG quite quickly, but alas we were mistaken. Orc TaeYeon got things started with a couple of convincing wins, but Netherlands Orc ArminvB turned up and decided it was time to play hero. He took out the rampaging Orc, dealt with Night Elf Phantom, a very good elf player, and then demoralized Korea eQ by taking down their team captain, Human LuckyGnom. Human Avec was left with not a very good map pool, but was able to win the Orc on Twisted Meadows, before completing what his teammate started by overcoming Undead Rain.

Following on from that epic was another was USA sWc, trying to prove that they belong in this league against World LaG. The match started off with more Orc vs Undead fairness, with Wyvern making short work of Minion (and then Human SpicySoup doing the same to him). SpicySoup was going along his merry way, cutting USA sWc to ribbons but then he ran into Orc Perfect; who was able to take the Human out of it by sending him to the dreaded Turtle Rock. After this, he was able to defeat an Night Elf named Rottereye @ Twsited Meadows, but Human SpicySoup came back to haunt him AND teammate Human Xypher to complete what he started and earn his 2nd AK of the season. CONGRATS ON THE AK.

Unfortunately, the final completed match wasn't anywhere near as climatic as USA InfC took home quite a convincing win against Sweden GE. Undead Tricksta got the ball rolling with 2 wins and was looking good for an AK, however Undead PumPPe stopped him in his tracks. Orc Pride walked on in and cleaned up, but at least Sweden GE was able to take home a point and not get AK'd, which is always a positive.

Make-up matches please get completed by the end of this playweek; if they are not finished the match will be 0-0'd out and 2pps will be given to each team (unless one team can prove they attempted to get it done). I only allowed this for ONE of the three matches, so get it done. Seriously.

S3W4 - Some reminders and a new team
Mon Nov 16 2009, 07:50 by EPGL|Rift
So, USA sWc with an improved roster was given a second chance to enter the league; this time they were successful defeating USA sC by a 4-2 score, which was scheduled and played quickly. It was a smooth start to the week. They will play their week 5 opponent, Sweden GE, during USA sWc's bye week (Sweden GE have already had theirs).

Continuing this positive start was a reasonably good match between Europe rG and Germany CoB; in which they traded maps for the first 4 games before Orc TaipoN decided to take over, resulting in a decisive 4-2 victory for Germany CoB, the Orc proving to be a great choice against an Undead heavy lineup.

Next up was World LaG vs USA InfC; both players (intelligently) putting up ineligible players, hence the "reminder" section. Given the recent good matches between these two teams, we expected an entertaining match and it certainly looked set to be so after Night Elf Rottereye defeated a slumping Undead JogaBonito. However, fellow Undead Tricksta thought it'd be fun to walk in and wipe out World LaG. Congratulations for the AK!

Next up was Korea SNoW vs Poland AESR. This match started out looking like Poland AESR would run through Korea SNoW when Undead Proveron Daveron had an easy time with Undead Believe. However, he must have gotten arrogant because he played extremely poorly and conservatively the next game, allowing Human ForDeath a pretty simple win in the end and Korea SNoW to tie it up. After Human ForDeath got dropped by Night Elf Ankhes, Human BaN played very well to take out the Night Elf and his Night Elf buddy Soul, who took revenge later using a jokercard. An elf mirror was the end result, with last week's allkill player Night Elf kimkihyun displaying his skill and making short work of Night Elf Soul, making 4-3 the end result of quite an entertaining match with Korea SNoW taking the honurs.

The other finished match was the one of Poland GFO and Germany eW, which was rather uninteresting as it resulted in Undead TenDecimals all-killing. Congratulations for the AK!

Germany eW and Europe rG is over at 2-4, as there was some huge confusion over the rules and a rather heated argument that ensued. That has been solved now.

Reminders
- Please submit the race your player intends to use for g1 of their submatch when you submit the lineup.
- Barred players are NOT PERMITTED under ANY circumstance.
- Please get your scheduling done early, as it will help us deliver admins.
